Using this site
This site is free to use. Every check works without an account; an account is optional and exists to keep your preferences across devices and to connect a Kroger cart. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for what happens under your account.
The Standard is our opinion
The HigherBar Standard is our own published, editorial bar for what belongs in food. "Does not meet the Standard" means a product does not meet our bar. It is not a safety claim, a legality claim, or a health claim, and it does not mean any regulator agrees with us. Read the full bar on the Standard page.

Content and accuracy
We work to keep the data here accurate and to name its sources; see the Nutrition page for where the numbers come from. Product labels change and our catalog can lag them. The data is provided as is, and we cannot guarantee it is complete or error free. If a verdict looks wrong, email hello@higherbarfood.com and we will re-check it.
Kroger prices and carts
Store, price, and availability information comes live from Kroger and is Kroger's to change; we do not guarantee it and we do not sell anything. Connecting your Kroger account is your choice, made on Kroger's consent screen, and it is governed by Kroger's own terms as well as these.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site changes. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
